This month I have truely dedicated my time to all things related to the film Transformers.
I downloaded the Transformer soundtrack, watched the special features on the dvd, went to the cinema to watch Transformers 2 for the second time.
After realising that the film has pretty much everything a great film should have, I have placed it on my bedroom shelf amongst Walk the Line and Pulp Fiction, (the two other films I really love this month, for being simply brilliant).
These are a few reasons why I believe the first Transformers film is such a top film.
The film contains fantastic actors -
Shia LaBeouf: A extremely talented actor with a quick natural wit. Who most of our generation set eyes on him in the hilarious child comedy programme Even Stevens.
(Which I have been watching recently on CITV, because it allows me to appreciate Shia's immense comic abilities and acting skills at a reasonably young age.)
Megan Fox: A gorgeous actress that's been rated sexiest woman in the world by FHM readers, who exceeded everyones expectations by being really quite great in Transformers.
John Turturro: Who can play two completely different characters, and both be incredibly believable. And even though in the first Transformers film he played a devious sector seven agent, who was cruelly intelligent and arrogant. John played the character so skillfully he became someone who you loved to hate, and really hated to love.
Josh Duhamel: A actor I was apprehensive about, I first came across him in Win a Date with Tad Hamilton, a rom com starring himself and Kate Bosworth, and was doubtful because i was unsure he'd be able to play such a strong yet loving army captain. But he stepped up and went through crazy army training for the film, to really capture the character for the film.
In my opinion one of the best directors as executive producer, Steven Spielberg.
And an awesome and dedicated director, who needs no introduction or 'bigging up', Michael Bay.
Finally aswell as having one fantastic cast, director and crew, the film is very accessable for girls and women, it contains a clever storyline, comical moments, a heart warming love plot, and outstanding special effects.
It even won over 9 awards, including an MTV movie award for best movie, a People choice award for best movie and best sci-fi movie, and a teen choice award for Breakout Male.
